Star Wars X-wing store championship 14-03-15 round 2.1 Hermelijn Aalst b...

Thomas Laverze uploads a video of a recent store championship played at round one.

This video is well produced featuring Full HD resolution and and a play field that occupies a great deal of screen real estate.

The squad lists are in my opinion a littl too large and clutter the screen.

The video is from a German channel but there is no commentary just an on-board microphone to capture ambient sound and the table talk between the two players (which is practically non existent) which makes this video pretty accesible for international audiences..

X Wing Liga Köln Spieltag 2 Vollie gegen TKundNobody

The German Pirates of Tatooine channel uploads a battle report from their local competitive league in Cologne.
For the majority of the video most of the ships are not visible as they didn't make sure the full playfield was captured by the camera.in fact they would have been better angling the camera after deployment as its pretty clear the majority of the game would take place on the far side of the playfield.

SZ-Wing Trainingsfight 5 (X-Wing)

SZ-Wing continue to bring new video content to their recently launched YouTube channel.

This video is in my opinion an excellent example of how much screen space the play field should occupy with just enough space surrounding the play field.

X Wing Liga Köln Spieltag 1 TKundNobody gegen CountGermaine

The German language Pirates of Tatooine Channel uploads a battle report from their local league event in Cologne. They timelapse through the planning/activation phases and combat phases are played out in real time.

The video quality is actually very good and teh players are very diligent in rolling their dice close enough to the camera to be able to see the dice results clearly. The only downside is the dutch angle.

The on board microphone of the recording device does a poor job of capturing the conversation between the players as the result is audible but with very little volume.

X Wing

Don't expect much of this video. Particularly amateur in its approach and cuts off part way through turn two.

DGA Plays: Star Wars: X-Wing - Game #34 (Ep. 71)

Dad's Gaming Addiction posts another lightweight battle report clocking in at under 40 minutes.
As this is the first time I have had the oportunity to review one of their battle reports I will take the opportunity to say that the video quality could be improved, the first step towards this would be to make sure the room is well lit. Even so the host does a good job of talking you through the game events and in this video he makes good use of the zoom on the camera to show us the part of the playfield where the action is taking place, all of which contributes to making the video much clearer.
This video series features a the titular "Dad" playing against his 9 year old son. Due to this situation the videos make good instructional material for beginners to the game. Often the lists used are pretty simple and dont involve too much complicated synergy.
This is a video series that is deffinatley worth watching and if your interested in PC games think about subscribing to the channel as the X-Wing content is the minority of the content published.
